Spanish La Liga club Sevilla FC has announced that their young forward, Alvaro Morata, has signed a new contract with the club until June 2026.

The deal means that Morata will remain at the club for another three years and will continue to be one of the key players in the squad under new coach Jose Peseiro.

Morata joined Sevilla from Real Madrid in January 2019 and has since made a big impact on the team. He scored 14 goals in his first season with the club and was part of the team that reached the Europa League final last season.

The 25-year-old is known for his ability to score goals and his strong work rate, which makes him a valuable asset to any team.

The news of Morata's contract extension comes just days after he helped Sevilla beat Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final. The win meant that Sevilla became the first Spanish club to win back-to-back titles in the competition.

Sevilla manager Peseiro praised Morata's performance during the match and said: "We are very happy to have Alvaro here for many more years. His talent and commitment make him a real asset to our team."

Morata himself expressed his delight at signing the new contract and thanked his teammates and supporters for their support throughout his time at Sevilla.

"Signing this new contract is a great honor and I am grateful to everyone who has been part of my journey at Sevilla," he said.

Morata's contract renewal also marks a positive start to the transfer window for Sevilla, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season's campaign.

With Morata's contract now extended until 2026, it seems likely that the club will look to add some quality additions to their squad in order to compete for major honours in the coming seasons.
