Borussia Dortmund have secured their second victory in a row as they beat VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 at Signal Iduna Park on Sunday afternoon. The win sees the Bundesliga leaders move back up to third place, and puts them just two points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

The match was dominated by Borussia Dortmund, who created numerous opportunities to score in the first half. However, it wasn't until the 77th minute that they finally broke through with a goal from Jadon Sancho. The England international found himself one-on-one with Wolfsburg goalkeeper Robin Rechtman and hit a powerful shot into the bottom corner of the net.

The goal proved to be the game-changer, as Dortmund went on to dominate possession and create more chances in the second half. They were eventually rewarded for their efforts when Sancho set up Erling Haaland for the winner in stoppage time.

For VfL Wolfsburg, the defeat was a blow to their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season. They currently sit just outside the Europa League places, but their poor form in recent weeks has seen them drop down the table.
