Bayer Leverkusen Announces Record Transfer of €48M for Belgium International Midfielder

Bayer Leverkusen has announced the signing of Belgian international midfielder, Jorgan Van der Geest on a four-year contract worth €48 million.

The transfer fee is one of the highest in Bayer's history and will help the club to strengthen their midfield options ahead of the upcoming season.

Van der Geest, who has played for several clubs including Standard Liege and Genk, is known for his technical skills and creativity on the pitch.

He will join the likes of Christian Pulisic and Alphonso Davies as part of the Bundesliga giants' squad this summer.

The deal was brokered by agent, Mino Raiola, who has previously represented some of Europe's top talents such as Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe.

Bayer Leverkusen manager, Julian Nagelsmann, said: "We're delighted to bring Jorgan Van der Geest to our team.

"He's a talented player with great potential and we're excited to see what he can do for us."

Van der Geest, who will be available for selection in the upcoming friendly match against Werder Bremen, added: "I'm very happy to have signed for Bayer Leverkusen.
